Privacy policy
Last updated: October 7, 2026
Clutchworthy shows whether an NBA game is worth watching without giving away the result. This policy explains what personal data the site processes, why and for how long.
Who is responsible
The controller of your personal data is Piotr Gutowski. Contact: kontakt@clutchworthy.app.
Data stored in your browser
When you reveal a game’s result, your browser remembers it in its local storage (localStorage) under the name cw.revealed.v1: the game’s identifier and the time you revealed it, at most 2,000 entries (the oldest are removed). The result itself is never stored there; “Hide score” removes the entry. Storing it is strictly necessary for the function you chose, so it needs no consent.
To show a result, your browser sends the game’s identifier to our server: when you reveal it, and automatically on a later visit for the games remembered in cw.revealed.v1. The server does not record who revealed which game.
If you choose a language with the language switcher, your browser stores the cookie cw_locale with the value en or pl for a year. It is set only after you click the switcher. Your browser sends it with every request; the server uses it only to send you to the language you chose and does not store it. The cookie is strictly necessary for the function you chose, so it needs no consent.
You can remove both at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser.
Your IP address
When you use the site, the server uses your IP address to limit the number of requests from one visitor and to protect the service against overload. It keeps it in memory only, for no more than 2 minutes after your last request. It is not written to any log or database. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in the security and availability of the service.
Logs
The technical logs of the web server and the API contain the time of a request, the address of the page or API requested and the response status. They contain no IP address and no information about your device or browser, and so no personal data.
The server’s security logs record, with IP addresses, blocked attempts to connect to the server and administrative (SSH) login attempts. They are kept for up to 5 weeks. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in the security of the service.
If you write to kontakt@clutchworthy.app, we process your e-mail address, the content of your message and the technical data in its headers, to reply to you. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in answering you. Providing them is voluntary, but without an e-mail address we cannot reply. Correspondence is kept for up to 12 months after the last message in the matter.
Who else processes data
Two processors established in the European Union process data on our behalf: Aruba S.p.A., Italy (hosting of the server) and OVH SAS, France (the domain and e-mail).
The site uses no analytics and no advertising. No data about you goes to the provider of NBA game data or to the provider of the AI model that prepares the game descriptions and assessments.
We make no automated decisions about you and do no profiling.
Your data is not transferred outside the European Economic Area.
Your rights
You have the right to access your data, to have it rectified or erased, to restrict its processing and to object to it. Write to kontakt@clutchworthy.app.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority, the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych, UODO).
